Extensions are a great way to add years of growth onto your locs without the wait. They can also achieve lengths, widths and thick wispy tips that your natural hair may not be able to achieve. This is definitely the option if you want aesthetically beautiful dreads instantly whilst cutting out some elements of the journey time.
Just like dreads from scratch you can choose the width and tips of your dreads- short wispy, long wispy or blunted. You can also choose the colour of the extensions to match your natural colour, ombre into a lighter colour or go for a bright colour. i will help guide you through this process to insure the best match. Normally a photo or two of your hair colour in natural light does the trick, or if you live close we can also arrange for you to pop in for a quick colour match in person.
All hair extensions are made with high quality human hair from sustainable sources. I use two English companies to supply the hair. which one used depends on which colour we use.

How are extensions attached?
Extensions are attached using a crochet hook. A couple inches of loose hair at the top of the extension will be overlapped with a couple inches of loose hair at the end of your natural dread and crocheted together to create a seamless appearance. If needed , a little extra hair will be placed over the joining for extra security
how long does my hair need to be?
Your hair should be atleast 5 inches long to attach the extensions to. It is possible to add them to shorter hair but i feel this is the ideal length to support the extensions.
What are extensions made from?
Permanent extensions shown on this page are made from human hair. It is sourced from English companies and comes on a weft which I then dread into lovely locs.
how do i look after extensions?
A aftercare sheet will be given out after installation. It will include things like washing once a week max with natural shampoo. Palm rolling if lumps occur and separating the dreads after washing.
How long do they last?
Following the care guidelines and the occasional maintenance session, The average lifespan of extensions is 2 years. if they don't naturally come out after 2 years you can cut them out or if you'd like them in longer prolong them with a maintenance session where we re-strengthen the joining's.
how long are the extensions?
I generally use 18 inch hair extensions to create the dreads. Price guidelines are shown with this length hair.
other hair lengths are available with the max from a single weft being 26inches. longer is possible by joining 2 wefts together. Mention in your quote if you'd like a different length.
