Hello 

My Names Emily, Heres a little bit about my story and how i came to do dreadlocks.

My dreadlocks were first created in Thailand 16 years ago when i was travelling. Not knowing anything about the hairstyle, luckily friends taught me the crochet method when living in the arts factory, Byron bay in Australia. After a couple years of working on my own dreads i started working on other peoples and doing trades. As my skills and confidence grew I started my Dready business locking hair all over Australia and New Zealand whilst travelling. 

After 4 years away I moved back to the UK to another weird and wonderful place called Brighton.....and Hove :D I have been running Brighton Dreadlocks here for 10 years in which I've worked on many different hair styles and met some amazing people.

Over the 16 years of having dreads myself, i have played around with many different styles including extensions, full head, having loose hair at the front, blunt ends, wispy ends, bright colours and bleach, I've literally done it all! As well as my 15 years experience working on other dread heads, having dreadlocks myself in many different variations gives me first hand experience to offer the most accurate advice.
